The purpose of this Retreat is to allow anyone who suffers from M.E., an opportunity to come away for a restorative break to a place with beautiful surroundings and caring people, to focus on the Lord Jesus for His restoration and healing.
All who come will benefit from these few days, where the Pastoral team will be available to lead you into quiet times of reflection. Set in the exquisite surroundings of Mulberry House there will be unhurried times of sharing together in worship, fellowship and meditation; time too for one to one listening and prayer and whenever needed, precious time for rest.
Carers are especially welcome to attend and some private time will be allocated to those who fall into this category. If required, accommodation can be made available at Mulberry House for anyone wishing to extend their stay either side of the conference dates; Prices on application.
Lilian Davidson who is leading the retreat has been involved in the Mulberry House team for ten years. Five years ago Lilian joined the Mulberry Pastoral team and for the past four years has been overseeing the Living Light Prayer line.
Lilian came to Essex from Pembrokeshire and for 7 years, along with her husband Vic, were Wardens of an Interdenominational Retreat Centre in the Preseli Mountains in Wales.
Lilian’s previous experience has been in Church Leadership with the Salvation Army, mainly in Nottinghamshire.
Lilian, together with the Mulberry Pastoral team, all have experience and an understanding of M.E. and the suffering this illness can bring to individuals and families. Their desire is to see sufferers take steps towards wholeness, by entering into the Truth of God’s Word, that He does not forget or ignore us in times of suffering but loves His children passionately at all times, as revealed in 1 John 3:1…
